As I type, the Thalys train out of Paris is just leaving the station. Paris has been fun and we are ready to return back to Holland. This little teaser trip to Paris was something of a dry run for our man journey. We have been able to test out our gear, learn what it is like walking with a full load of backpacks and also what it is like to live for several days in a youth hostel. If the rest of our trip were as successful, we will enjoy ourselves immensely when we get under way. We did go over the planned €500 total budget slightly but not by much.
