Day 3 – Jax – a day at the park

Wednesday 24th September

Once again, the kids were up very early this morning. Sandy was up with them before six but I was able to relieve her for at least a little bit since I was up not long afterwards.

I ventured out to a nearby Publix to pick up some supermarket shopping and stopped in at a nearby phone shop to get a new SIM-card for my phone so that we can make and receive calls whilst here.

Whilst the kids were napping later on in the morning, I got confirmation that our theme park tickets were now whisking their way towards us a high speed. Overnight delivery, it seems, will take no less than 3 days from the UK! And as an added bonus, it will cost me nearly sixty quid!

For the rest of the day, we had planned on a trip to the zoo but we ended up going to a nearby park come playground instead. It was a good choice and the kids really enjoyed themselves immensely.

We had dinner at a place called Paneras and finished up the day with letting the kids run riot up and down the beach for half an hour. Fortunately, running through the very high winds drained the energy right from them and they were all in bed with little fuss or fanfare when the time came.
